Dr. Ji is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas. Drawing on her professional background as an information technology systems engineer and an English as a Foreign Language teacher, her research examines AI in education, immersive learning, computer-assisted language learning, and teacher education across contexts ranging from K-12 classrooms to higher education and adult learning in both formal and informal settings. She has collaborated with K-12 teachers and public libraries through co-design and participatory research to develop learning experiences with emerging technologies grounded in teachers’ perspectives and contexts. Through the QE Fellowship, she hopes to integrate qualitative interpretation with quantitative network modeling to study human-AI interaction in various learning environments and to engage with an interdisciplinary community of scholars.
