Julia Pearl Schwartz is a multilingual mixed methods researcher and international project manager centered on community-led solutions to overlapping global health and climate challenges. In her current role as Research Specialist at the Boston University School of Public Health, she analyzes and elevates high-risk community experiences at the intersection of extreme heat, health, and energy to inform climate adaptation decision-making and policies. Prior to joining Boston University, Julia worked at JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., a global health non-profit. During her time at JSI, Julia managed the design and implementation of a health system resilience initiative in Mali to strengthen reproductive health outcomes during climate events and violent conflict. Julia brings extensive experience engaging international communities and leaders in qualitative research to drive evidence-based programmatic decision-making and implementation. She earned her Master of Public Health in Behavioral Science and Health Communication in 2020 and her Bachelor of Arts in 2019 through an integrated BA/MPH program at Tufts University
