Patricia Posey is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, whose research examines race, class, and politics, with a focus on the consequences of financial insecurity for political life. Her current book project explores the political and financial inclusion of racial and ethnic minorities in the US. Her research has been recognized with more than 35 grants, prizes, and fellowships, including from the Ford Foundation, the American Political Science Association, and the Russell Sage Foundation. Beyond her scholarship, Dr. Posey spends considerable time building community infrastructure, mentoring students and emerging scholars, and cultivating supportive intellectual networks.
